As CEO and Co-Founder of DIBS, Jeff began working on a new concept in color cosmetics in 2020 with Austin-based lifestyle authority Courtney Shields. The premise: makeup that is mistake-proof, effortless and accessible to women across America who don’t relate to clinical minimalism or have the time for a twenty-step YouTube routine.

DIBS launched in September 2021 with one of the highest reported velocities for a new makeup brand. In its first week, it sold out five of nine products to tens of thousands of customers in all 50 states (and US territories) and earned features in Vogue, Glamour, Byrdie and NewBeauty.

A ROD CORP

In 2018, Alex Rodriguez appointed Jeff as COO and Partner to his legendary investment firm, with the mandate to diversify its holdings from real estate into health & wellness, fitness, media and joint investments with Jennifer Lopez. In addition to advising numerous record-setting businesses under this platform, Jeff also negotiated Mr. Rodriguez’s advisory relationship with the New York Yankees and his promotion of Major League Baseball’s premier London Series.

As President of ARod Productions, Jeff also oversaw and produced Mr. Rodriguez’s vast portfolio of media projects, including his history-making entry as the first MLB analyst to be shared by two networks (FOX and ESPN), “Shark Tank” and the two-time no. 1 podcast, “The Corp.”

LAW

Jeff was an attorney at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, regarded as the most selective and profitable corporate law firm in the world. While at Wachtell (as well as Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Skadden, Arps in Hong Kong), Jeff worked on the world’s largest M&A deals and IPOs, including transactions that reshaped the telecommunications, mining and consumer goods spaces. He helped lead the spin-off of Lands’ End from Sears Holdings and its NASDAQ listing in 2014, and during his time at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, worked on the revision of the rules governing cross-border M&A.

During his legal career, Jeff regularly spoke at the law schools of Yale, Harvard, Stanford, NYU and Columbia, and co-authored multiple leading articles on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and disclosure of financial projections. He most recently taught at Yale Law School’s “Lawyers & Leadership” program.
